Hi Raz! It's very true that you get what you pay for and $400 won't go far. We sell fitness equipment at http://www.a2zfit.com/treadmls.htm and for a decent, new state-of-the-art treadmill you should be in the $500 to $2,000 range. Maybe you can find something used in your price range, but remember that you won't have any warranty on the equipment and some people get rid of fitness equipment because of problems they're having with the unit. You just won't know that...

We have a great selection of quality Horizon treadmills at low prices, with excellent manufacturer warranties, free shipping, and no sales tax (except for deliveries to PA). Let us know if you have any questions... Happy treadmill hunting!

Please remember the old saying "you get what you pay for." In cases of higher end treadmills $400 will not even cover the warranty. $400 will most likely buy you a piece of junk. I would stay away from auction sites such as ebay because you will get killed on the shipping. It would almost make more sense to buy a gym membership. If you think about it, it is better to run on someone else's treadmill without the worry of repair and maintenance costs. If you are hard up for money and like to work out. Possibly fill out an employee application and work the gym of your choice. Most likely you will be able to work out at your place of employment for free. Nothing is better than free and you can use that $400 for something else. Most importantly, you will not have a piece of junk taking up space in your home.

Dont buy 1 brand new there are too many people that bought treadmills with the right intentions, unfortunatly they all become clothes racks or covered in dust in the corner of a basement
Many peole realizing there error in judgement, decide to CLEAN house and sell them at bargain prices. Try looking in EBAY or Craigslist. Some of them are hardly used look and smell brand new and come with original receipts and brochures. When I purchased mine, I had to remove all the laundry from it and carry it up a flight of stairs to my waiting truck. It was 4 years old , got the original receipt for $ 1650 and an owners manual for a bargain price of $100 and the people were happy to see it go. I put 300 miles on it and have lost 15 lbs
GOOD LUCK

Try going to sears and seeing if they have any of their floor models for sale at a discounted price. You may save a couple of hundred dollars on a great treadmill.
