China.

The conditions are not bad but by far it is the hardest prison system to be in with what you have to do while you are in prison.

Well, well, well, here's my question and I'm going to answer it.

What do you think of this - I spent 20 months in prison in the state of Okla-coma. I had food that was stamped "For Inmate Consumption Only," and you couldn't even tell what it was or intended to be. I lived with mice, lice, scorpions and staph infection was running rapid. Our families had to call the Health Department on our behalf and the health department came in and closed the prison down while they sprayed every inch and all clothes were washed in soap that the DOH provided. I didn't have to eat bugs because I was starving, but it is a starch diet Period. Mold was covering all of the showers and they wouldn't do anything about it either. Yes, it was prison. The Fed., prisons are the best, as I here. We wore clothes that had holes everywhere, including the shoes, socks, bras, etc. They won't let you use bleach in Prison. Afraid of someone getting high or making something. I'm not real clear on that, but it would have stopped many things from happening - mold and staph infection. I was in for forgery and I regret what I did. But, I lived through all of that crap and now life is wonderful even if I'm a felon. I remember the movie Midnight Express and it was a true story about a Turkish prison and an American that was caught trying to smuggle out hash. It's a good, good movie. But, I think Turkey has the worst reputation concerning prisons.

Historically it used to be Turkish prison - the were notorious as being horrible places. However, I would doubt that is true today. According the Amnesty International the worst prison in Europe is the Korydallos Prison Complex in Greece http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korydallos_Prison

Good Luck!!!

Prisons are in many circumstances privately owned while jails are maintained with the aid of a city or county. penal complex circumstances are constrained to the gross sales the city/county is able and (or) prepared to take a place in them with the aid of close by taxes and expenses. Prisons, on the different hand, are privately owned companies. Prisons are paid with the aid of the federal government to homestead prisoners. The extra inmates they have, the extra money they make. extra or less, the basic annual fee to homestead an inmate in a penal complex is around $30,000 - $40 seven,000 a 365 days. Many larger prisons on the instant can homestead nicely over a hundred,000 inmates each and each. sure, prisons are one thousand million greenback industry to assert the least. in an attempt to respond to your question: Prisons can furnish particular "luxuries" and "extra helpful" residing circumstances because of the fact they are able to surely arise with the money for to.

i agree with barry f concerning abou gharib prison but not because it was located in Iraq, but because it was runned by American soldiers ,so it is the USA which create the worst prison conditions though not within its borders as far as i know but in other countries , also remember Guantanamo, a human rights scandal

I've heard that Turkish prisons are pretty bad. As far as cleanliness, treatment, etc. Never having been incarcerated I don't know much about prison though.

I dunno. But I can tell you the best....right here in the states. Where else can you get three hot meals a day, a bed to sleep in, access to gym equipment, cable/satellite TV, and a law degree paid for by everyone else BUT the person getting it? More than I had as a single parent, because I earned too much to get food stamps or any gov't. assistance, but once the insurance premiums and taxes were taken out of my checks, I could barely afford the rent and gas for my car.
