Hi Mickey,

Let me start by pointing you to a site that tells you what the "ideal" weight is for someone of your height. Here is the link:

http://www.healthchecksystems.com/heightweightchart.htm

Here are the official stats for your age, height, and weight.

120-133 small frame
130-144 medium frame
140-159 large frame

So, as you can see, you are definitely OK! Many women have a distorted idea of what healthy means, mainly due to the ideals pushed to them in advertising, media, and Hollywood.

You did mention you feel out of shape. Now that is something you have total control over. The only way to get over the "icky" feeling is to get up and do something physical.

You don't have to start jogging a mile or going to the gym 3 hours a day, all you have to do is get started doing something.

Maybe you can start by deciding to take a short walk everyday as one of your New Year's Resolutions? Just walk as much as you feel comfortable doing at a normal pace.

When you feel tired, stop. Do this everyday and add a little more distance.

In no time flat you'll be walking a mile or more and feeling great. It's a little publicized fact that when you exercise you actually get a LOT MORE energy then you give out. It's one of the perks.

I'd also recommend you eat meals more regularly, like at least 3-5 smaller meals a day. Doing this will increase your metabolism and help you burn more fat.

Making small incremental changes will give you the body, confidence, and health you want and need.

The only thing left for you to do is get started!

Best of luck.

Blessings,

Mike

By the numbers alone, I don't think so.

My philosophy is that you are overweight if you feel like you are overweight.

Do you feel out of shape? Do you get tired quickly from walking? Can you walk up several flights of steps without taking a break?

If you are comfortable with your looks and feel healthy enough, then you are not overweight.

Absolutely not. For someone your height and age, you are at a good, average, and most importantly healthy weight. In fact, 70% of women your age and height are heavier than you are. If you want to make certain or have some concerns, go talk to your doctor. The important thing is that you are healthy!!

No, weight mostly deals with the size of your bones. I don't think you're overweight though, I think that size is good for you.

quit being stupid and stop being one of those girls that are skinny but need the attention. You're not fat! You're less than average. The average woman is 5'5 size 14. Which is around 200 lbs. Relax and quit dwelling on the small stuff. Enjoy your life and love yourself for who you are.
