I am under the impression that the aperture on all EOS lenses is controlled solely by the camera body. Are there any lenses that have a manual aperture?

I am getting an adapter for my video camera which lets me use slr lenses on it, and i have a digital rebel which uses EOS lenses so i would like to be able to kill 2 birds with one stone, and be able to use the same lenses for both.

All Canon EOS lenses have a switch on the side which goes from automatic to manual but that is for focus. I suggest you check it out first, however, when you purchase the camera.

I've certainly never seen one, and am about 99.99999% positive that no Canon lens is fully manual. There may be some third party EOS-compatible lenses that are though... but selection would be very limited.

I'd suggest getting lenses made for their respective jobs, it'll cost more but you'll be happier...

No. All current Canon lenses (and any EF Lenses) use an electronic diaphgram (aperture). You can find more information about the EF and older FD Canon Lenses here:
