I would like a nice simple not too time consuming recipe. With not many fancy ingrediants if possible...Thanks everyone.

I love Giada de Laurentiis from Everyday Italian on the Food network. People actually tell me I look and act like her and remind them of her! And her recipes are so easy and yummy. Youl be going back for more.

here's one i grabbed from the website. There are more there if you like it. (foodnetwork.com)

Spaghettini (or Angel Hair) with Checca Sauce

Recipe courtesy Giada De Laurentiis

8 ounces spaghettini or angel hair pasta
4 scallions (white and pale green parts only), coarsely chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 (12-ounce container) cherry tomatoes, halved
1 (1-ounce) piece Parmesan, coarsely chopped
8 to 10 fresh basil leaves
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, tender but still firm to the bite, stirring often, about 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the next 7 ingredients in a food processor. Pulse just until the tomatoes are coarsely chopped (do not puree).

Drain the pasta, reserving some of the pasta water. Toss the pasta with the tomato mixture and fresh mozzarella in a large bowl. Add some of the reserved pasta water (about 1/4 cup) if the sauce looks dry. Serve immediately.

Angel Hair Pasta Salad

INGREDIENTS
2 (8 ounce) packages angel hair pasta
1/2 pound cooked bay shrimp
3/4 cup chopped green onions
1 1/2 cups ranch-style salad dressing

DIRECTIONS
Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse under cold water.
Mix together the pasta, shrimp, green onions and ranch dressing, then carefully work the shrimp into the pasta with your hands. (Note: As the salad sits, it will absorb some of the dressing; add a little dressing right before serving).

Oh, I know something. This might sound weird, but trust me.
Boil the pasta in salty water (about 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt)
While the noodles are boiling, mix the sauce... instead of tomato sauce, use cream of mushroom. Then, add about 1
tablespoon of lemon juice. Finally, add the sauce to the noodles and put about one teaspoon of garlic powder. It depends on how much flavor you want to add the amount of the ingredients. This is a simple but delicious concoction. ENJOY!

We like this one:

onion & garlic
Olive Oil
lean bacon (canadian if you want really lean)
peas
one teaspoon of cornstarch
one can of low fat evaporated milk

sautee onions and garlic in olive oil until translucent
add bacon and cook until soft )you don't want it crispy) and add peas, evaporated milk and season with salt and pepper to taste.
mix cornstarch in a bit of like warm water until throughly dissolved (you don't need a lot of water but you don't want a paste either) and add to sauce. Simmer until thickened. pour on top of cooked angel hair pasta and add parmesan cheese shavings. Try to use real parmiggiano reggiano as it really makes a world of difference!

I like angel hair, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and a bit of olive oil, some crushed garlic, and steamed shrimp. Very easy to do! Try some red pepper flakes in it, too.

Be sure to use a thin sauce - angel hair won't stand-up to a hearty/thick sauce.
