going to meet a friend of ours halfway between our own home towns in a few weeks, the place choosen in Accrington, Lancashire, we need a really nice country type of pub, the town centre is no good as a footy match will be on thus making it crowded, our friend is a bit posh so we need a nice place, any help greatly recieved, thanks in advance.

There is a pub called Boatyard, its more towards Preston way though, but its always nice and quiet, or one called Britannia thats on the crossroads between Blackburn and Accy
