My bf has been away on a trip and all we can do right now
is email. In his most recent email, he didn't say that he
missed me or anything - he did in a prior email. Am I being
over-sensitive just because he has been away? I was sad that he
didn't tell me he missed me. Don't think I'm stupid, because I
do realize I might be overreacting, but opinions are always
interesting. Sigh.

He may have been BZ but it sounds like he does miss you and you are on his mind so be patient someday you can talk to him again in person and I bet in person he will tell you that he missed you so much !!

If he did say it in a prior message then maybe he does not want to upset you and remind you that he is gone by saying he "misses you" more then a few times! i am sure that he misses you if he told you that in a prior message! I think that you are over reacting..calm down he will be back befor you know it and i am sure the first thing he will do is come and see you when he gets back in town!

Guys are like that they dont really say what they feel..I mean he is writting to you so you dont hve anything to worry about....If he didnt miss you would he be trying to be in contact with you?

I wouldn't panic. He said in previous emails that he misses you so he obviously does.

i think you are worrying a little too much , if he does it , 2 or 3 times in a row then worry

Don't worry, he misses you, he won't say it everytime but he does misses you... I know the feeling.

i would be sad but i wouldnt let him kno it...some guys just dont kno how to express their emotions and think if they say i miss u then u kno they do and they dont have to say it anymore even though they should...
