Ok this is an issue... Bulimia is bad for you in so many ways! One its going to tear up your esophagus, stomach, and teeth... Everytime you throw up you are forcing acid up threw the esophagus and mouth... The acids are strong and will cause erosions overtime in the esophagus and eat away at your teeth as well! This is a deases that you need to seek professional help for... This can cause many digestive complications as well as mental issues! Seek a therapist and a nutritionist! Nothing in this world is worth torturing your body over! Love who you are rather than embracing an idea of what you want to be!

If you are bulimic...you are REALLY sick now! I am a bulimic survivor - take it from me...get help now. The longer you let this illness go, the longer it will take to break the "cycle." My teeth have eroded, I have alot of stomach problems and I am osteopenic (the prelude to osteoperosis).

Eating disorders are VERY hard to get over and rarely can you do it alone. Seek professional help. There are counselor's that specialize in eating disorders. Also, support groups can be helpful. If your eating disorder stems from depression (which mine and many other do) an anti-depressent can help to change your mental status - it really works.

I ended up having to go into a mental health institution to stop my "cycle." Believe me it is awful. They sit with you and watch you during every meal. Your bathroom is locked for an hour after every meal and Never can you use your bathroom without them viewing the toilet before you flush (One of my nurses was a male) Trust me, it was the most humiliating, degrading time of my life. Please stop and make a better choice for yourself now. Best Wishes!

I think that's hard to say, depending on how often you practice, what methods you use, what your underlying health is like. Are you bulimic? There is often a self-help group for people with eating disorders associated with the local hospital. Don't wait to get really sick to deal with it. You could also see your family doctor.

I've had my eating issues, and when I was doing bulimic behaviors, I felt really terrible. I'm better now, but it's not easy. You are more than your physical appearance, and you're worth taking care of. Please let us know how you're doing.

how do you define really sick? No disrespect to you but currently you are mentally ill to feel the need to control you food in such a way. I highly doubt at the moment you are feeling on top of the world and happy. I would go and see your doctor now and explain the situation, i am so sorry you are feeling this way but cure both the mental and physical symptoms before either becomes an issue. Good luck!

Your esophagus is damaged every time anyone vomits. The body is able to repair it. Acid reflux disease is a constant backing up of stomach acid. Bulimics, when vomiting, are damaging their esophagus. If the body doesn't have time to repair, the damage will just continue. The acid can also burn your fingers if you use fingers. It also breaks down the enamel on your teeth.

I really don't know...I too have been border-line bulimic..or at least I think so.I haven't binged and purged for about 3 weeks now.I just stopped,so I guess I wasn't in too deep.I had been doing it for about 1 1/2 months before I just stopped. Its sooo hard for me to make myself throw up-I hated doing it.Another reason I stopped is because I noticed it didn't really help me to lose weight which is why I started doing it in the first place...if anything it just maintained my current weight! That was the problem!!I wasn't happy with my weight.I'm not sure what your reasons are for doing it are... or if your even doing it,but if you are or thinking about doing it to lose weight it really doesn't work and besides...you know it ain't right...right?

I think personally it depends on your body. But that shouldn't matter if you are bulimic then you should seek professional help.

it depends on how often you throw up and how many meals you skip......what causes you to get sick the most with bulimia is the acid that you throw up from your stomach....if your bulimic...then i think you should get some help.....you could really hurt yourself....even die from it......hope this inspires you to do the right thing.......i'll pray for you.....God Bless!!!
