What is a Christian? The scriptures aside, a Christian:

Believes in obeying the law, even the inconvenient ones, such as speed limits when late for work;

Believes in paying taxes, even though there are many ways they could avoid them, as most religions do;

Believes in keeping their word, such as to the IRS that they will not promote politics in the church, and they actually mean it:

Teaches their youth that waiting until marriage is preferable to using protection, and for the most part, the youths actually believe it....As a result, their denomination has the lowest rates of out-of-wedlock births and STDs....Yes, there is the occasional ones who would rather have their fun now than wait, but there are far more who choose to wait;

Treats their youth with respect, not just "do what you're told!";

Teaches their children side by side with the adults, the Bible as a whole, and not just Bible stories....The very young may not understand what they are being taught, but by the time you reach the age of understanding, they have a good basic knowledge of the scriptures;

Tries to attend congregations that never get so large that the individual gets lost in the crowd and since everyone is taught the same, it is easy to start a new congregation, with a set of elders;

Knows everyone in their denomination, whether in the congregation, the city, or the county....When a disaster like Katrina happens, every member of the denomination living in New Orleans was accounted for and evacuated;

Attends a church that compliments a neighborhood, and not overwhelm it, with a lot of expensive decorative features;

Attends a church that has all their members read the whole Bible, repeatedly, and submit their thoughts on where the denomination is doing that is not in keeping with the Bible;

Wears out a Bible every few years, from use; and

Can tell you what actual day Christ observed the Last Supper on, the only day he said to keep in Memorial, without referring to the man made secular holiday.

The creed either recited or listed as belief of faith of all members of all churches classified as christian under the World Council of Churches is:

I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell;
the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic (note small c refers to catholic as the universal church not the Roman Catholic church) church; the communion of saints (referring to the connection with those in heaven not necessarily those canonized as saints by any particular church); the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.

CHRISTIAN, n.
One who believes that the New Testament is a divinely inspired book admirably suited to the spiritual needs of his neighbor. One who follows the teachings of Christ in so far as they are not inconsistent with a life of sin.

I guess it's someone who believes in Jesus and that he was a prophet of God. Most Christians believe Jesus was also the son of God and God too, but not all Christians believe in his divinity. Christian Scientists believe he was a good example of how to live your life (mind over matter, so to speak). But, all Christians do believe he is the last and main prophet, and believe in his teachings.

It means that you can listen to others disagree with you without feeling insulted.
It means you will not delete someone's answer on this chat group when they disagree with you or even call you names. - It means you know how to play the game of "chat".

It means you believe in "freedom of expression".

- It means you are not a dirty Muslim. - (Dear Sahib Punjabi , it was a joke, get over it, and get a life.)
