Personally I did not think it was a punch. Dean Shiels was desperate to get the ball back into play as it was Hibs who had the momentum at the time after pulling back from 2 goals down. It was in their best interests to get play resumed ASAP. Gordon was "bundled into" by Shiels, no more than that

LF-Don't try and defend the indefensable. Lennon was as guilty as sin. He has previous for this sort of thing as proved with his bust-ups with McGeady, Boruc, Ferguson, Iain Brines etc etc. Now take those green/white blinkers off and see Lennon for what he is, an antagonistic, little, ginger fcuk-wit who thinks the whole world is against him.
Oh sorry, the whole world is against him and with good fcukin reason!!!!

There wasn't a punch thrown but it was certainly a foul. He barged into Gordon with his hands raised, definite red card. There was no need. People saying he was going for the ball, the ball was on the ground, why did Shiels run into Gordon with his arms raised?

Was totally irresponsible of Shiels, he coulda had Gordon's eye out....

I was watching Scotsport the other day and thought it was farcical that one of the pundits said there wasn't even a foul! It was certainly foolish of Shiels and if it wasn't a punch then it was some kind of an assault. The most you could say in his defence is that it was just incredibly careless but people get sent off all the time for careless fouls and no one bats an eyelid?

Watched scotsport and I felt Gordon overreacted but Shields didn't punch him but Shields did knock him down.
What Hearts fans were singing was shocking also Hartleys goal was trouble go near the Hibs fans was bad.

Bedner is an idiot for what he said.
If there was some elephants on the pitch it would have been a circus

no punch thrown but a definate red card if you watch in slow motion from behind the goals you see that shiels changes direction in order to collide with gordon......the strangest red card lve ever seen
