Im 15yrs old and i have a 35 degree scoliosis. Aside from the constant back pain i have also been experiencing horrible headaches as well as neck pain. Can these aches be caused by my scoliosis? I was told that the brace may no longer be an option for me because i was not going to grow much more. Can a chiropracter help? And if he can should they have any specific technique or something of that sort?

Hello,

I was also a scoliosis patient!! I am 32 now and had spinal fusion surgery at 14. My curve was 45 degrees and worsening as time went on.

Take it from me....all of your symptoms are definitely scoliosis driven. I can definitely relate.

I have since given birth naturally, I exercise and joined Army ROTC in College. Don't let Scoliosis hinder you.

I'm in no position to tell you if you'll need the surgery but I'm glad that I had it done b/c it fixed my curve and I recovered immediately b/c I was so young when I had it done....Like you are. Fix it and be done.

You will continue to grow but with a more perfect posture. No one can even tell that I used to have scoliosis.

I have scoliosis and when the lower back is hurting, the muscles above it are pulled and they tense up and that makes the upper back and shoulder areas hurt and they tense up and that makes the neck hurt and the neck tenses up and that makes the head hurt. I do not have an answer about a chiropractor. I can no longer use one as I've had lumbar surgery and neck surgery and two joint replacements (knee and hip) so I have to be very cautious.
