Could any one help me plan a trip to Asia?

Question

I would like to visit Thialand and Japan

I know that I need a travel agent but I was hoping to receive others help as well, i.e. when is the best time to go for about 10days on a limited budget, where to stay, etc.

I will be leaving from North Carolina or New York depending which is cheaper and our budget is about 2500 per person and there will be about 4 of us

I think you should refine your question a bit and you will get better answers.. How many days will you be here? Do you like mtns or beach, museums or meeting people? And I am sure there is a Japan category as well.. You might want to include your age and budget concerns as well.. Thailand is a wonderful place to visit - and the others who answer questions here regularly are very helpful - - so, give us/them a bit to work with and I am sure you will get answers - not questions as I have posed - - good luck and enjoy your travels..

You proabably need a good travel agent. I do not know if you need travel help-- hotels-- suggestions of places to visit????? Be aware that Japan is VERY expensive, though a fascinating place to go. Thailand can be done very economically. Either country could fill whatever time you have well. Trying to do both-- depends on your goals and purpose of travel. Have a great time!

a nice island in thailand is ko tao. not too many people and quiet. but a great spot to relax. i find bangkok quite annoyinng...but taste is a personal thing.
and as for japan: take a lot of money!
they have a special ticket for tourists for the train. you can only buy it outside japan and its a lot cheaper and it takes you nearly anywhere. it's the best way to traveel japan. ask a traevl agency for details
