because they want to be in control.they want to be praised. admired. its all sterotype.they want the "good life"
a relationship takes two. not 1

Traditionally , It was always the man in the family that went out
to do battle and make the decisions for their family and the wife
was in the background having babies and backing him up.
Some carry the modern version to extremes, but women also
want to wear the pants in the family and even if they let the man,
they are in the background nagging instead of backing him up.
Second guessing everything that he does. Sometimes right and
sometimes wrong. Just like you cannot have two presidents
running a country - you cant have two people having the last
word in a relationship. If the man lets the woman, then no matter
what she says, she does not have the respect for him and
should look for somebody else.

Because THEY ARE MEN. Just how they are. Why do they have wieners? If you don't like it, then try women.
I used to date a girl who wanted to wear the pants all the time; talk about bossy & mouthy. For a bunch of reasons I dumped her. Then I heard that afterwards she dated a guy who was girly, needy, clingy, a crybaby, and wanted her to wear the pants; and she got so sick of his ballessness that she dumped him. So watch out what you wish for.

a successful relationship has to be each person giving 150%
has to be respectful and loving
