Here are some recipes for homemade protein shakes. They are used by body builders, but some of them are quite good, and easy to make. Pick the ones that call for ingredients you already have at home, or can easily get, like bananas, strawberries or other berries, etc. Get inventive!

Elvis All Shake'd Up

1/2 cup soft/silken tofu
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1 banana, cut up
3 ice cubes

Put all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. If you cut up banana and freeze ahead of time, you can use that and leave out the ice cubes :)

Makes about 16oz (1 pint) and equals 1 dairy, 1 fruit, 2 proteins

1 can plain or vanilla yogurt
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 egg
mix all ingredients in a blender. raw egg is high protein but is risky for samonellla. you can use protein enhancer instead.
