I catch them in a very small creek between two houses. I don't even know how they got there. They are small and look like little lobsters.

It depends. WHat does the water look like? If there is a funky odor and the crawdads are floating on top I wouldn't eat them. If the water is just regular stream water go for it. Get some boiling water, some crab boil and maybe some onions and garlic.

Crawdads are tasty, just get some water boiling and drop them in while they are still alive. When they turn red take them out, drain the water off and soak them in cold water. Have some melted buter mixed with garlic poser handy to dip the pieces in. I have had one bad experience with them once, I got ahold of a couple with worms, when I boiled them it looked like little worms coming out of them, I wouldn't recommend eating any like this, lol. Hope this was helpful.

I don't see why you can't eat them. Get a box of crab boil from the grocery store and boil them with that in the water. You can add small red potatoes, corn on the cob, onions if you want. Remember don't eat the ones that have their tail straight after cooking.
