Forget the word, look at god's deeds:
1. This god condones and sets a price for slaves.
2. This god says that it is permissible to take female children as sex slaves if you have slaughtered everyone else. (how that fits with thou shall not kill I will never know)
3. This god killed off every living thing on the planet in the great flood in an act of spite.
If these deeds happened, god is truly the ultimate source of evil and the bible is nothing more than the boasting of the exploits.
The longer people profess a lie to be true the more elaborate the lie becomes. Which begs the question of how many pages are in the bible?

Do a little study and you will make a discovery. According to science, cold does not exist. Heat does, as it is generated by the movement of atoms, etc. Cold is merely the absence of heat. There is no force or object that produces "cold". Yet cold can kill you (or rather lack of heat).
Darkness does not exist. Light does. It was both particle and wave properties and a physical speed. Darkness is merely the absence of light. There is no force or object that produces "dark". Yet darkness can injure you (or rather the lack of light).
Evil is the same way. It is merely the absence of good. Good is a real thing. It has moral laws, properties, and a being that is it source, who produces it - God. There is no force or object which produces evil. Rather evil is always the results of rejecting good. Just like cold and darkness can harm you, so evil can be destructive and even kill. Or rather it is the absence and rejecting of "good" that destroys.
Adam rejected good, and death entered the world. Most of the population of the earth rejected God's good, and the results was a flood. Pharaoh rejected God's good, and plagues fell on the people. Whenever the Jewish rejected God's good, their fell to an enemy, a war, a plague, a drought. That is because whenever good is absence, evil comes.
God talks about that in the book of Deuteronomy where He says , "I have put before you today good and evil, blessing and curses, life and death. Choose life that you and your children may live."

One cannot be truly good unless one chooses good when evil is a real option. If one believes in God, than one can believe that evil was created as a test of faith.

if evil came from god then god cannot be completely good. if evil didnt come from god then evil is equated to god in that neither have a creator, and both are infinite, not bound by time.
throughout the old testament, god kills thousands upon thousands and says killing is a sin. *shrug*

Have you ever talked with "bad" people ? When I did so I discovered that they were just like you and me. Maybe good or bad only depend on which side we are when watching the movie.
Sometimes it is even obvious to our small mind that good comes out of evil.

The reason why there is evil in the world is because Man turned his back to God. Not the other way around.

Evil did not come directly from God but exist apart from him. There is a way that seems right to a man and this way ends in death. All things apart from God corrupt. It is God that sustains us. God is righteous and he created your idea of righteousness and your ability to reason.

If God created all things, then he must have created evil. Therefore, God can't be completely good.

Because:
1Jo 1:5 ¶ This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
