my friend is getting help from a friend on putting the wood flooring for her flat. Her friend is not a specialist but has done it once for his own flat. He said the average rate per day is GBP120.

How much do you think my friend should pay him for this job? a lump sum of lets say, GBP500? how long does it normally take to finish a typical 2-bedroom flat (a new built)?

thanks a lot.

the flat is around 700 sq feet. She wanted to lay the 2 bedrooms and the sitting room. I'm not sure if his price covers materials or just labour.......

it is normally £15 per pack ! if you have 10 pack`s to lay then it`ll cost you £150 so it would be worth paying him the £120 cause you would save £30 as it would only take a day to do anyway !

i paid a joiner to fit my wood floor in my font room. It cost about £250 just 4 fitting- it was worth it to get it done properly!it took about 3.5 hours, and its only a small front room!
