Assuming any guy out here can truly know this i will take a shot at it.
One of the most important things you must do to become a great kisser is to be confident. When you kiss a girl/.woman you should be able to do it with purpose. From the way you kiss and hold her you must make it clear how much you love to do just that.
But the real test is not in technique but in how she feels about you. You may be the best kisser in five states but if she doesn't like you forget it. Confidence and attention to her makes all the difference.

if you are a good kisser you can lead the way and teach them by kissing them. If that doesn't work, try telling him to do something you want him to do. good luck!!

Practice, practice, practice.
Ask the girl everytime if she likes it.
Just be yourself, enjoy and let your emotions guide you. There's no need to be too procedural or too mechanical. It will lose its essence.
