Yes, I think he really died that way, or it was worse, and that there really was a Jesus, absolutely.
The gospels, are eyewitness accounts, either first, or second hand eyewitness accounts. They recorded history, and this was reverified in the early church. Also, he was alive for over a month, after he came back to life, just the way he said he did. All the powers of that day, were threatened by this, look at the way the tomb was guarded, etc. They KNEW it might happen. Also, they were never able to quiet all this, to make it "go away", it is true, and doing a study on it, will reveal it only all the more to you. I wish you the best.
To concerned, below. It would make sense, that Jesus was taken out of, or not on the roman records. (if that is even true, do you have those records, or a source?) See, this is something they DID have control over to make it look like it didn't happen.

Yes Jesus died that way, it was probably bloodier.
I don't understand, you say that you are a christian but you are doubting the existance of Jesus? The Bible has the true facts about Jesus.
You must have faith as a christian because Faith is an important part of being a christian.

If you study siddha yoga and the philosophy of vedanta you will know exactly what Jesus taught and why. One can only speculate. History is recorded through the eyes of the beholder and revised by those in power. Christianity has its roots in the vedas ,siddha yoga, vedanta philosophy and hinduism. My best Guess is that jesus was taught by a siddha yoga guru an then he in turn taught the same.Read romans 8-29 this discribes the guru diciple relationship. See www.stephen-knapp.com/articles_to_read. The big question is why has the information not widely known, for it would set all religious people free to find God within their on hearts.

Yes, I am a beliver of Jesus Christ because I know and feel He is my Lord and Savior. I come across many non-belivers wherever I go. I do agree that Jesus died on the cross for our sins because it tells us in the Bible. Those who are believers of Christ know the Bible is the truth. Not only the Bible tells us but those who accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts have enteral life and each day we have the opporunity to live our lives for Christ. He knows who we are inside and out. He knows everything about us. If Christ didn't died on the cross for our sins...then this world would not have anyone to go to or talk to. Remember Jesus Loves U!

If you doubt the Gospel accounts of our Lords death, burial and resurrection, then you are not saved and you certainly are no Christian. What do you think Christianity is? Some sort of feel-good religion? A convenience created specifically for you? It has nothing to do with you----it's all about Jesus and only Jesus. If you cannot accept that, then you might as well embrace atheism. the results will be the same---hell.

Jesus really died on the cross and rose again in three days. The bible says , without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. Jesus was the only person who was perfect and could pay the price for our sins.

The Romans do not even have a reference to him being placed on the cross in their records. Everyone else is on there, but no Jesus? Hmmm.... Way to many wrong "facts" about Jesus to believe in him the way he has been brought forth in history. I do believe he existed, but was nothing more than a nomadic priest.

Jesus died that way, and so did many others as crucifixion was used for centuries by the Romans. Faith is what you want, and faith doesn't look to hard for some finite truth, which isn't always available, you take it on faith for that reason.

The Romans were very schooled in crucifixition. They had it down to an art. The bible says that Jesus took stripes for our sickness and bore our disease.
By His stripes I am healed.
I believe, just as the word says, he didn't look human.
Wearing all the sin and disease on his back, how could he have not suffered horribly.
