Do not give up. Let another guy hound this girl. Yet another girl hound this guy.

It depends on him. If he is interested in the other girl, back off. If not, why let her run y'all's lives with her obsession. However, she could not treat you so well if she sees you as competition. If she's dangerous, you might back off until he manages to get her out of the picture (maybe in college - maybe when her new crush comes along). Why not try to be his friend and develop your relationship that way? It's best to be good friends with your spouse anyway, and now is a good time to practice.
