I'm sure you've probably never heard of Hereditary Hemochromatosis? I have it...your body makes too much iron and then cannot dispose of it. A lot of your symptoms sound like "H-H". I was diagnosed 6 years ago. I was thought, at first to be anemic, as the symptoms are similar. You cannot detect possible HH with just a hemoglobin...(it's on your regular CBC..or complete blood count) but you will need a Ferritin..(measures iron) and a TIBC (Total Iron Binding Count). There are a couple of really wonderful websites...American Hereditary Hemochromatosis website and Iron Disorders Institute. Please look this up on WebMD or the other sites. HH is a treatable, hereditary condition...you can have "aquired HH" from taking too much iron, but I've not heard of that often.

Could be lots of different ailments, from Lupus or Flu to Fibromyalgia or Glandular fever. All these have similar symptons, but your doctor should be able to give you a proper diagnosis when he examines you. Just rest up, eat healthily and try and be patient until your appointment arrives. It is no good trying to self diagnose on the internet - you'll get lots of wrong, and very scary, answers!

Best is to phone your surgery again and explane briefly but with urgency that you need an appointment as soon as possible even if you have to beg, because the sooner the better, No use to feel so ill and on top of it the anxiety of not knowing what is wrong, undoubtedly makes it worse. It might be something very simple to correct and soon you would feel on top of the world

Try drinking lots of water and a low dose of Tylenol for the aches and pains. That should help. If your symptoms get any worse this evening into tomorrow, I would visit your ER - you could have something that needs to be treated immediately. Good luck and take care!

Try searching this site, just put in your symptoms and see what comes close. Lyme disease maybe. Any tick bites?
