An ugly guy who gives you what your heart desires, or a good looking guy, who's a drug addict and alcoholic? I'm just asking his cuz I have a real good gay friend, who's not that attractive. He's totally in love with this other guy, but that guy decided to date a good looking looser.

First of all ya just can't know someone is a drug addict and an alcholic and say, "hey i wanna date you". There is just something inherently wrong with that!

Looks don't really mean anything when you find the real kind of love. I think a relationship purely based on looks is just on the surface. If your friend's ex left him for someone goodlooking, then he's not worth the chase. In a way, he couldn't grasp continuously seeing through your friend's physical appearance and that just makes it not worth it.

Well I feel you should follow your heart. If the guy you like and is the one not so handsome then ya know what.... deal with it. I personally like to mold people like they are your clay, make him the kind of person you want him to be, or teach him how to dress and what looks good and what does not look good.
