i am writing a paly about a girl named maria who wants her dress modelled at ms. evans fashion show. but ms. eans wants her to change the dress and maria doens't quite like that idea.
and i'm kind of stuck form there. wat should maria do? plzz help me with some info. this play has to be 6 pages long!!!

have maria disguise the dress under some frilly stuff, something that Ms. Evans would approve of... then in the middle of the show as the model is walking down the isle (with the crowd kinda liking the frilly stuff), have the frilly stuff start to fall off, showings the original dress underneath, Ms. Evan starting to throw a fit, Maria being in the oh no mode until they start to hear the crowd start to go wild over the dresses look. Maria can save face by saying it a new trend...tear away clothes! The "outer" wear your parents will approve, a core that you will approve! Just tear away the outer shell in seconds as soon as your out of sight. Or something like that. Claim Ms. Evans gave Maria the idea, yada yada yada....Crowd goes wild, Ms. Evans is beaming, Maria's dress stays in the show.

no offense but from what i read it just sounds like everything else i have see on tv. they even had an episode kinda like that on the diseny show on raven. the movie ---the devil wears prada? do those sound familiar to you? they are both about people who are in one way or another in the fashion world and the only way to get ahead is to sacriffice their morals, views and personalities, and ideas. why don't you make yours different and instead of having maria do the "right thing" have her change her dress and become a mean back stabbing witch who ends up taking over ms. evans fashion show. heck you could even write in how maria wins over ms evans boyfriend/girlfriend when he/she comes to help set up everything for the show. or better yet you could make it where maria and ms. evan has sex, and then falls in love with one another, but then they have a huge fight and break up because some big fashion designer likes maria's clothes better and signs her to a huge business deal. then it turns out that maria starts having feelings for the desig ner and falls in love and realizes that she is bi-sexual, and even though she had strong feelings for ms.evan she realizes that she wasn't ever really in love with her. so she and her big designer boyfriend helps ms.evan sell her clothes, and in the end every one is happy , rich, and famous.....or are they? even though maria loves Austin(the fashion designer) with all her heart she just can't help but be attracted to the cute little waitress where sahe eats lunch every day.

What I would do is have Maria devise a plan to eliminate the other dress or dresses in her way. Ultimately being caught in the act and being fired, but not before it is shown to the important peeps at the show. The catch is everyone falls in love with the dress despite the objections from the old fashion designer or whatever Ms. Evans.
Thats at least sounds good to me......

Maria can always meet Ms. Evans in the middle having it altered by the on site tailor at the last minute, just before the runway and everyone's happy!

she is allowed to wear the dress, but as she is modelling, trips down the cardboard box runway, in which she helped put together. Everyone starts laughing as all the kids in the audiance throw hotdogs, hamburgars and paper at her.
It was the best thing that ever happened to her because now she has dreams of becoming a comedian at her local church's talent show to try and makes her Grandmother laugh because she hasn't had a sense of humor in 15 yrs. since her parrot died and untimely death when he had an allergic reaction to the bird toe ointment the vet game him due to his bout with the gout.
The Grandmother finally laughed when she saw her act, laughed so hard in fact she bent over forward and her artificial knee replacement snapped.
So she runs up to her Grandmother all happy and sad at the same time........

she should take it to another place that can model it and then when it becomes famous ms. evans get mad and asks her to come back to her but maria decides not to and ms evans just does different things to get her back.

Maria can design a whole new dress with the same structure as the old one. Then, there could be something wrong with that dress (i dunt knoe wut) and then there could be like a tragic scene, but in the end, her dress becomes the most popular ^^
