If Magellan could sail around the world in the 1400s in a hand made wooden ship with sails, I'm sure you can make your journey in your yacht pretty easily.

quite easily....in fact it would be considered a milk run by most cruisers for it is downwind with the Trade WInds......go get a map and figure 100-125 miles a 24 hour day for the typical cruising yacht......
