God predestined a plan by which men would be saved.

He predestined that "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved". (Mark 16:16)

"Whosoever will" has an invitation to "come" into eternal life (Rev 22:17).

God does not desire any to be lost. 2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

We are called through the preaching of the gospel, which is to be preached to everyone, everywhere. (Mark 16:15) Acts 17:30 says God "commands all men every where to repent":

But not all men will be saved. Some will choose to follow the pleasures of this life rather than submitting to God's word. God created us with the ability to choose.

Notice Isaiah 66:3-4:

"...Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not."

God called, but the ones being talked about here did not answer. Rather they chose their own way!

Yes God calls us through His word to come to him and be saved, but we must accept that call. We have the choice.

Joshua said, "Choose you this day whom ye will serve".

Yes, God is all-knowing, but there is a difference between knowing something and orchestrating it.

I know if my child has access to candy, he will eat it. Just because I know his nature, that does not mean I caused his actions.

God knows us more than we even know ourselves, but that does not mean he dictated ahead of time whether we would accept his word or reject it.

God predestined a plan of salvation. He wants all to be saved, but he wants us to come to him willingly. He has allowed us to have that choice.

Predestination can also be "Forordination": This is what the bible dictionary came up with when I did a search...

See also Called of God; Council in Heaven; Election; Jesus Christ, Authority of; Jesus Christ, Foreordained; Man, Antemortal Existence of
Deut. 32: 8 he set the bounds of the people.
Isa. 46: 10 Declaring the end from the beginning.
Jer. 1: 5 Before I formed thee in the belly . . . I ordained thee a prophet.
Matt. 3: 3 he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias.
Luke 22: 22 Son of man goeth, as it was determined.
Acts 2: 23 delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge.
Acts 17: 26 determined the times before appointed.
Rom. 8: 29 he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image.
Rom. 9: 11 purpose of God according to election.
Rom. 11: 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.
Gal. 3: 8 foreseeing that God would justify the heathen.
Eph. 1: 4 he hath chosen us in him before the foundation.
Eph. 1: 5 having predestinated us unto the adoption of children.
2 Thes. 2: 13 God hath from the beginning chosen you.
2 Tim. 1: 9 called us . . . before the world began.
1 Pet. 1: 2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God.
1 Pet. 1: 20 who verily was foreordained before the foundation.
Rev. 13: 8 Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Matthew 25:34 - our destiny is already known to our Heavenly Father
Romans 8:29-30 - God’s elect are foreordained to eternal life
Eph 1:3, 6-11 - Saints foreordained to receive the gospel

So, we have all been forordained to receive certain blessings.

Yes, this is true, but I must add the fact that many Christians don't even understand the simple gift of salvation that God offers and instead they think it is something earned or lost by doing "good" or "bad"; how do you expect someone to understand predestination? Yes, the bible is clear on the subject as it is on predestination and yet, people are confused.

The Bible talks about the destiny of every believer - those who have received Him as Lord - to be perfectly conformed to His image and in His likeness. The salvation spoken of in Romans 8 isn't the new birth, but the process of sanctification and the ultimate destiny of every believer.

Some religions take that to an extreme and teach that God selectively pre-ordains some for salvation and some for damnation. But you have to either completely throw out, abuse, or blatantly disregard a whole lot of other Scriptures to reach that conclusion. You certainly can't understand the heart of God and believe that is what predestination means.

He desires that ALL men be saved and come to the knowledge of Him and His Son, Jesus Christ.

He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked.

And He does NOT control everyone and everything on this planet...He has given dominion and authority into the hands of people, who are created in His image.

Those are references directly from Scripture - but I'm hoping you'll get your concordance and look them up for yourself.

Jesus, himself, said all the events surrouding his arrest and crusifiction were pre-desestined or pre-ordained and couldn't be changed by anyone other than God.

But this does not necessarily mean everything is predestined.

If there were the case, there would be no need of Jesus, for ANY GOD that MAKES a man DO THINGS hold final responsiblity for their actions and MAN becomes BLAMELESS.

So why is there Jesus to remove our SINS if GOD MAKES US SIN.

It makes Jesus unncessesary. GOD predesintines man to SIN, man can't fight against it, GOD hold's man liable for this!

Not a very good God, is it.

I make you do what you do, then I send you to hell for doing it!

Not very convincing proof of total predestination from a religious point of view, nor a logical point of view.

It also negates Satan or the Devil. Who needs a Devil if GOD is making man do all the nasty stuff!
