PLEASE don't do that! here is why....
you are going to be adding pigment to your hair to go darker, then, when you go tot get highlights the stylist will have to try to pull out that pigment, with a higher volume bleach, which will be much more damaging to your hair. plus there is no guarantee she will be able to get it all out. and you may end up with a really bad brassy yellow or orange color!

here is what i recommend, have her do both colors for you, it will probably not cost you more than another 20 dollars, and color at the store is around 10 right? plus, you will be saving a lot of wear and tear on your hair.
My salon would charge you probably 65 or 70 for that. and 55 for just blonde highlights

another thing, some stylists won't even touch your hair if they know you have colored with a store color, especially if its a real dark color.

It can...hair dyes often dry your hair and it's sometimes not safe to put more chemicals in it so soon. Make sure you tell your stylist what you've done and what you used, because only they can give you a specific answer since you didn't mention what you used and what kid of highlights your stylist will be using.

The next time if you have to go about it this way, start with a henna based dye instead. They're less damaging.

comparable happened to me! in no way tried the daybreak or Palmolive ingredient although, I left mine and via danger it dwindled somewhat immediately. Took approximately 2 weeks to get the colour i in my opinion wanted. I used a lighter shade the subsequent time yet it nevertheless went black so I went and have been given it appeared after on the hairdressers. i think of this could be a clever pass by using fact in case you maintain messing approximately with it , it can result worse! additionally attempt changing the colour of your make up for hotter tones as i stumbled on black replaced into so harsh against my pores and skin. wish this enables and good luck!

no, it won't affect the color. wait about 1-2 weeks though before you go get highlights so the color can settle in your hair.

If the highlights are done with bleach it won't matter as the bleach will remove all color anyway.

not only the color but it will damge your hair. go to sally's or dudleys with the link picture and they should help match the color.
