you geta big boat put some sails on it point it west in the atlantic ocean and sail away allways keeping your heading west when you see land you ask the natives if this is canada if the folks y all you need to sail a bit futher north if it gets really cold and you see big chunks of ice sail a bit south if you find fishing boats every where and the folks talk funny man you have found newfound land and you got here to canada by see with a good wind should only take about 6 or 7 days if you dont get lost HAPPY SAILING but aint it a tad quicker to fly they know where they are going and it only takes a day

It seems a hell of a lot more expensive than by air though.

Cunard Cruises are the only ships that do cruises across the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2. Very expensive - and they only go to New York - no ships to Canada

depends when you are going, try getting a cheap ( inside cabin ) one way Southampton to New York and going on from there. It would be a lot cheaper by Air, since you would effectively be looking for circa 5-6 days B & Meals however you sailed.

I would suggest a boat or submarine. The swim is pretty hard going
