The saying "To err is human, to forgive is divine" can only be understood by Christians. To an atheist or evolutionist, the best way to explain to them is to say: "To err is homo sapien, to forgive is non existent", because they don't believe in anything called divine or Godly. So everybody think about yourself, it is "the survival of the fittest", as the opposite to the motto of Christians which should go: "the survival of the poorest, the humblest, and the weakest." Read Matthew 5 about the Beatitudes, meaning the Blessings upon the Poorest, Weakest,
Hungriest, Humblest, Saddest, Friendliest, and Most Persecuted.
So if you are a Christian, you must have that charateristic of Jesus who is Divine, and He commanded us to forgive others without limit. He also says that if we do not want to forgive others, than God cannot forgive us either. When his disciples asked Him if it is enough to forgive people 7 X 7 or 49 times, Jesus replied that they should forgive them 70 X 7. And He did not mean that you must count it until it reachest 489 X then you have the right to say, "Listen fellow! You are reaching the limit.
After the next mistake, I have the right as a Christian to blow my top and give a good lesson that you will never forget!"
If Jesus was criticized, we should expect to be treated the same way.

On the other hand, if nobody criticize us, that means we are being in a dangerous spot, because that means the whole world is on our side! Do you see the point, my dear?

Jesus says, we whould rejoice and be glad, not only for being criticized but persecuted as well. And we should love even our enemies and pray for blessings upon them.

That is the real meaning of being a Christian. So if you are angry or annoyed when people ciritize or oppose you, you are not a Christian at all, regardless of the fact that your are called Your Holiness or The Lord Pope! Comprendo?

well i think you answered your own question lol. Yeah everyone does make mistakes and I mean we're all human and being a Christian doesn't make much difference, the only difference is that when we die, we go to heaven (because Christ died for our sins and we're made new). Just ignore ppl that talk like that and keep walking, never hold back a grudge (forgive those ppl) cuz it can stop you from progressing in the future. Remember to always walk in love! =]

As a Muslim, I agree that all humans except the Prophets of God do make mistake. The most important thing is to repent from our sins and to sincerely implore The One God for forgiveness, and not to repeat similar sins in the future. It's indeed not easy to do. But if we persevere, He will surely help us.

God knows best.

Peace and Love.

Christians aren't perfect. They make mistakes like anyone else. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive them. I think that is what they would do for you.
Maybe they didn't know they wronged you. Was it something really bad or was it just a mistake? Have you gone to them and spoken to them about it? Maybe if you were to forgive them, you would begin to understand the forgiveness God has for you. We all need to be forgiven, don't you agree?

Dont worry about it, some people just cant be pleased regardless. They dont want Christians to be human and capable of making mistakes but at the same time, hate you if you claim you dont. It's like "I Hate Christians because they have to be perfect" "Well no, Im not perfect at all, no one is" "I hate you because you are imperfect then!"

Everyone makes mistakes, but to repent means you understand your wrongdoing (fully and deeply, so it is not done again).

Making mistakes is one thing - keep making the same mistakes is another.

If you keep making the same mistake, not only have you not understood the mistake full - you have not repented - SO not forgiven yet.

One common misconception about Christians, is everyone expects to be perfect. Which is impossible. That is one of the problems, people expect us to be what we cannot. We can only rest assured in our forgiveness, and try to explain that forgiveness to other's who expect our perfection.

I hate that Christians do whatever they want, figuring that they'll be forgiven for it later.

You have to realize that whether or not "everybody makes mistakes" we still have to face the consequences of our actions.

Weather the criticisms--it makes you strong or should if you know how to handle it correctly. Be like a rock in your convictions.

Apparently Jesus is not powerful enough to transform you into someone who earns respect. Either you don't trust him enough, or he's a big let down. Which is it?

I refer you to the answers when I asked whether Christianity transforms the Christian. I'm not a Christian, but the answerers were.
