For Christians, I believe, it is commanded in the Bible that they spread "God's word". But what if it wasn't? What if it wasn't explicitly stated in the Bible, would it be a moral obligation to spread the "word" to save others?

I believe it is a moral obligation to spread good morals themselves through actions. Also, to spread the "word" as you put it if it is requested by another, who is interested in learning.

To spread the word to the "masses", is futile. When most cannot understand due to their state of evolution. When they reach a high evolutional state, they will come to find the truth through their own seeking of it. There is no need to bend peoples will to believe in one faith or the other. When the individual is ready to learn, they will.

This may be difficult to acknowledge, if one does not understand reincarnation.

Here is your answer...

Matthew 28:18-20:
18. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

It is in the bible, therefore Christians are SUPPOSE (I capitalized that becasue there are a lot who don't do it and some who take it too far) to do just that. I spread the word but if you don't want to listen I'm not going to force you and judge you.

Just as it would be a moral obligation to warn someone if you swa their house was on fire, or a rapist was sneaking in their window. As a Christian, when we see people who are destroying their lives through sin, addiction, ignorance, lack of self-esteem, etc., we have a moral obligation to help me. That may include things like financial aid, food, clothes, friendship, support, help getting treatment, etc. But it also includes showing them the word of God on the subject, presenting the deliverance he has for them, and sometimes warning of the consequences ahead if they keep going the way they are. Anything less then that would not be to "walk in love" towards them.

Hello,

Well, it all depends on who's report you believe, if you believe the report of the lord- then obey. If you are not sure who's report you believe then I guess this is an issue of the individual. I know for me its hard to thank alone those lines of what if- when it pertains to the word of God, because I believe without God there would be know morality in people. Just look at our world today, rape, drugs, serial killing, child molesting, cheating, pimping, con artist, pan handling, the list go's on and on. Without God there would be no moral obligation.

It is a moral obligation to show as many as we can the way ! If you were on Hwy. 117. Going 70 MPH in the Wrong Direction, I would not wait until I received a WORD from The LORD, before I tried to warn you !!

Yes, it would be a moral obligation to spread the Word so that everyone has the chance to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and ultimately spend eternity with Him.

Depending on your definition of "spreading the word". If a Christian is truly living the commandments, exemplifying Christ in their actions and loving all then that Christian is spreading the word. It need not be a spoken or written word. Example is the best teacher.

Personally I hate 'spreading the word'. I feel that my life should be a testament to my beliefs and that I should have to run up to someone, get in their face, and tell them that they are burning in hell if they don't convert. I don't care what the Bible says about it. It's how I'm going to live my life - but then I think that the Bible has been corrupted by men...

I suppose, that no, it would not be a moral obligation, becuase we were not told to do so. However, if believing in Christ's love is truly as great an experience as we so often claim, then shouldn't we want to tell others of the peace we've found?

there have been debts interior the Bible that asserts God had recommended the Jews to kill all the enemies inclusive of little ones, females and their livestocks. In our present day day lingo, it really is genocide or mass homicide. quite opposite to "Thou shalt not Kill" commandment. Enemies of the Jewish united states of america have a distinct God/s previously, compared to their modern-day enemies at present whose God got here from an same source because the Jewish have. If that became so, would you not imagine that the otherside or the enemy isn't also planning to annihilate all the Jews if the prospect falls into their palms? undergo in concepts, on early Biblical time, Isarel is construct up their united states of america and whoever is in that degree will relentlessly pursue all and sundry who will give up their lives from growing to be. we are nonetheless talking of morality right here yet a united states of america at conflict with all his more desirable equipped associates sorrounding him on an same time as a lot as now, will he not use his ability to guard himself? in case you imagine you're out numbered, would you not evaluate completely eliminating some few so as that there will be a good disagreement with the perfect? Why do you imagine Israel continuously strike decrease back causing more desirable than what were taken from them? it really is numbers sport my buddy. do not project The Bible as if it does not recognize what it has written? God is more desirable than a fiction.
