I have a femal spayed maincoon cat. She is a princess by morning and a tiger by night. (she thinks) In the day time she will cuddle with everyone but me. If i try holding her petting her, or look at her she will attack! She bites and claws. At night it gets worse. She will hold a grudge. If i bug her during the day she will stalk me all night. then when im walking up the stairs or just about to crawl into bed she will pounce on my leg and sink her teeth into me. She will really draw blood pretty bad. It kills and she sometimes wont let go!! She is not an outside cat at all so she doesnt have rabies... i hope!! My parents and brother think its funny but im sick of it. shes the reason i dont like cats!! help how do i make her stop!!??

Outside cat or not, she outta have rabies shots. Cats get loose.

Cats can pick people out and dislike them for no apparant reason. It ain't right, but that's how it is. If she ignores you, don't get upset. Not all cats are like that, and don't write off the entire species because of one little witch.

As to her stalking behavior, I'd invest a few bucks in a squirt gun--one of those ones you can pump up in advance and fire at leisure. I'll bet that if your princess gets a snoot full of cold water a few times when she's attacking you she'll turn her attentions elsewhere--perhaps even on to those who find her nasty behavior toward you to be so amusing. And if she does, I wouldn't let them borrow my squirt gun either. :P

I had a cat when I was little who did the exact same thing to my mother. She was an outside cat and she would hide in the bushes until my mother walked by, then she would jump out and bite my mother's leg. My mother never did anything to antaganize her - the cat simply had an irrational dislike of her. And the odd thing was, she was a complete angel with everyone else. I'm sorry to report that we never fully broke her of this. My mother tried spray bottles, airhorns and finally resorted to carrying around a rolled up newspaper. After a few whacks across the nose, the cat did stop attacking my mom as much, but upon occassion (maybe for old time's sake) she would attack again. Needless to say we didn't keep the cat long before my mother put her foot down and the cat moved to a neighbors barn permenatly. I hope that you have better luck than we did!

One thing you might do is talk to your family about getting the cat declawed. That won't stop her from biting you, of course, but at least you won't be bitten AND clawed.

I suggest starting from the beginning again- You need to earn your cats trust, love and respect. For a while be very calm when u are around her, no sudden movements, no shouting, let her smell you, give her lots of snacks and toys.
Playing with her also helps. Gety a toy that is something like a long stick with feathers or something fluffy on the end. That way you can play but not have your hands close enough to be be scratched. I hope this gets better for u.

I have 2 cats and have many friends with cats and it always seems to be the imprisoned(indoor) cats that have the screwed up behavioural problems.
Try to leave the cat alone completely and try not to react when it attacks. It probably enjoys the reaction it's getting, like if you scream or yelp. Try to stay silent, don't flinch or move suddenly, and calmly remove it from your legs. It will hopefully get bored because you aren't playing back.

I had a kitten or young cat that would love me to death during the day and at night I would be singled out to be attacked on the legs, arms and face. It would bring blood, sometimes alot. He had the look of Satan only to me at night. I learned after we had to put him down for a heart condition he was having seizures with this type of behavior.

The cat knows she has one over on you, she can sense fear from you so she treats you like prey. Don't get aggressive with her but don't back off from her either. try getting a small squirt gun and zapping her when she is about to pounce on you (accompanied with a stern "NO").
