A great crock pot recipe is for shredded chicken. Just take three or four boneless chicken breasts (thawed) and throw them in the crock pot with a jar of your favorite salsa. Don't be afraid to go heavy on the salsa as it should cover all the chicken. Turn on the pot to medium high and let it go. After about 4 hours, take a spatula and chop up the chicken. It should shred very easily. Drop the temp to warm and let it marinate and cook in the salsa for another hour or so and you're ready to eat.

The shredded chicken makes a great burrito on flour tortilla's with cheese or on nachos. Different kinds of salsa effect the taste, so experiment away and enjoy!

Velvetta and Rotel tomato and chiles...........makes an easy queso you can put over corn chips. .........or the chile mentioned above, but then you'd need 2 crock pots, hmmm.

Actually beef stew is easy, first brown the cubed beef in a skillet, then dump it, a packet of french onion dry soup, some (1/2 t) Worchestershire sauce and a heaping tablespoon of tomato paste.....a splash of water/beer/or wine (about a half cup plus or minus) and let cook at least 6 and more likely longer until it falls apart. You can add cut up potatoes several hours before expected finish, then baby carrots and peas about an hour near the end if you need to stretch the meat. Serve over cooked flat noodles and I'll come help you eat it!

I've done a variation of Pork Loin roast for New Years - when it's on sale buy a whole one and freeze half.
1 2.5 pound pork loin (about half of a whole loin)
2 apples, peeled and diced
2 small onions, peeled and sliced
1 large can saurkraut
1 can beer (lager is best)

I'll sometimes add a box of frozen pierogies or cut up a ring keilbasa and throw in as well. Brown the loin, place it in fat side down. (You can sut it up if you want, but depedning on the quality and cooking time, it may fall apart on you anyway!) throw everything else around it with pierogies, if you're having them, on top. Cook for 6-8 hours.

I have a larger elliptical crock that I'll put a half loin, hotdogs, keilbasa in all together with kraut and some red potatoes.

I love to use my crockpot, and my easiest recipe that everyone loves is < Italian Sausage Hoagies.Get the sausage and cook in a frying pan until almost done then put two large cans of Hunts four cheese tomato sauce and half a can of water into your crockpot and add the sausage, put on high and in one hour they are ready, you can add more or less depending on how many people you have. Then just buy hotdog buns and a pack of sliced provolone cheese.Everyone can serve themselves and easy clean up.They are really good! I never have leftovers! Great on game days!

Cook on high untill vegetables cook and is bubbly.

Chili is always awesome in a slow cooker & is great left over for chilimac or chili cheese dogs- yum. I also like making a bbq sause & putting lil smokie links in the sauce in the slow cooker. You can also make a spicy cheese sace & serve with tortilla chips or veggies.

Throw a bunch of baby back ribs in there for a good 6-8 hours. Add some BBQ sauce and they'll just melt in your mouth!
