Only if the Tabi's are worn by a Ninja!

I used tabi's as a boy fishing and you can walk IN the water with them no problem! But on top I highly doubt that without some sort of trickery?

First, I didn't see anything about this on Wikipedia when I searched Tabi...Anyway what you are describing is a form of footwear called Mizu Gumo, I believe. For lack of a better explanation, imagine a pair of LONG boots made with inflatable bladders (like a raft). Before you all start laughing, see the link below- someone has MADE a pair...

Actually, DaVinci invented shoes that allowed him to walk on water. Basically, they were boots with a very flat circular plane attached to the bottom. At the edges of the plane were high walls. So basically, he had a base of support on calm water which allowed him to walk. It was a simple bouyancy issue. Essentially, he just created stepping stones that were attached to his feet, only at the bottom, again, they were pads. Like lotus pads. This is what the Ninja used.

What I'm saying IS NOT that the Ninja knew about DaVinci. This discovery was made several places. I'm just referencing DaVinci. It's a lesser-known invention of his. But.... basically... the ninja owned at ingenuity and had floating boot-like super sweet ninja-wizard gear!
