*please don't say its unhealthy, i dont care*

I know I can do it ( i've done it before) but if I eat one meal a day, and a 40 calories breakfast ( to keep the metab up) and do this..months I guess, will I go down to a size 2? In a month? I am 5'8'' and a size 6 (us/can) and a size Medium.

So, if I eat one meal a day, and excercise, will I go down to a size 2 in one month?

You will lose some wight, but thats not healhy. Your metabilism will slow down drastically even in the first couple of days. Eating keeps your metabilism going. Even if you get down to your size 2 doing this, you will gain the wihgt back more than likely since your metabilism will decrease.

Your better off eating 5-6 meals a day about 2-3 hours apart, keeping the starchy carbs like oatmeal, bread, pasta, etc early in the day and keeping your leafy green veggies like romaine lettuce, brocali (sp) in the evening since leafy green veggies help burn fat.

If you've done it before than why are you asking? You know the answer. I'm not trying to be mean... but really...

And from what you wrote, you sound like you don't even need to lose any weight. Bones are not sexy ya' know. If you are not comfortable with how you look, try exercising. Not only will it change your appearance and you will become toned, but it will also help release endorphins which will lift your spirits too.

You need fuel (ie: food) for your body to work. And if you exercise, you will need even more. If you cut back on what you are eating, you will lose weight at first and for a short time. Then you will eventually binge eat and gain it all back. And even if you don't binge eat, your body will eventually go into starvation mode and it will start storing and using fat as a food supply.

Sorry ~ Good luck

I have no idea really, but let me know how it turns out eh?...

I have heard that your metabolism will adjust itself to your food intake though, which contradicts itself with ppl who seriously starve themselves, but if you're still eating fatty foods for your one meal, your body is just going to go into overdrive saving it all and storing it as fat, plus this means your metabolism will slow down greatly...even if you have a light breakkie...

better split up your 'one' meal into 5 or 6 teensie weensie portions for the whole metab theory to work out...that's how it really works, eating smaller portions more often

btw...if you're a size 6 already at 5'8" I'm not sure you'll achieve your goal in just a month...I doubt it

Ask a dietician or your doctor on what's best to eat. But what you should do is eat what ever you want (so long as the food doesn't give you high cholesterol) and do a lot of cardiovascular exercises like biking, swimming, jogging (preferably with a male partner), boxing, kickboxing, climbing the stairs etc. Trust me, you'll lose a lot of weight and have a toned body through exercising than just dieting or go on a fad diet. You don't have to go on a starving diet. Eat whatever you want so long as you do a lot of cardiovascular exercises.

You will most likely gain a little weight as well as deprive your body of the nutrients it requires to propely function and helping you lose weight. When you don't eat, your metablism slows down. When you eat a well balanced diet, 3 meals with healthy snacks in between, your metabolism increases. As well as it does with exercise. Therefore, one meal will do more harm than good.

You will lose weight but you will also slow your metabolism WAY down which will result in quick weight gain later.

The best thing you can do is eat something small and lo-cal about every 2-3 hours. That way you are still keeping it low calorie but you are also keeping your metabolism fast and healthy and you won't be low on energy.

No, you won't lose weight. The body is a funny thing... it has certain survival modes built in. If you suddenly cut your intake, your body will react by adjusting your metabolism to adapt to the new caloric intake. When you return to normal eating, your hyper-slow metabolism will save all your new food without burning it up, and guess what???
Bad idea.

If you are in the US/Can I would suggest an all natural product that I have had great results with called Isagenix.

This product is only available by distributor.

You'll lose weight initially and then your metabolism will adjust. To continue to lose weight, and to keep it off, you will have to exercise. Terrible plan, incidentally.

For your height you are small enough. If you lose more you'll look like a bag of bones skeleton.
