Okay, I have like totally wanted a small dog all of my life! My mom always says she will think about it and then she says it will have to be in the summer. It never happens! So she knows how much I want one so got any advice to get her to maybe change her mind??

go to akc.org, look up the breed you're thinking about, read up on it and then tell her how the pup/dog will enrich all of your lives. Also, on the website is a little quiz to help you decide which dog is right for your family
Good luck, I have an English Mastiff (214 lbs) and a Pug (25 lbs) and I love them both to death.

Depends on how old you are and can you buy the food, pay for vet, will you be there all the time. What if you want to go out who is going to look after the animal then? Are you expecting your mother to do it? Getting an animal is like having a child, 24hr care and it will be on your shoulders not someone elses. If you expect to get the animal and then just forget about it. Then you better have another think. Your mother is afraid that she will have to take care of it and she does not want the responsibility.

Maybe she thinks you're not responsible enough and knows that she will end up taking care of it. Start taking out the trash, clean your room, wash the dishes..if you don't like doing these daily tasks then ur not ready for a dog.

you need to show her that you will be a responsible pet owner like walk the dog feed the dog maybe if you got a job washing your neighbors cars taking out thier trash to earn extra bucks she will allow you to have one maybe your mom cant afford to pay for a pet if not just be obedient and wait until your on your own gl

i had to show my mom how responsible i am and had to stop bugging her about it and sooner than later i got my cat so maybe it will work with ur dog

prove to her you can handle something like that.
for example: do chores without being told, do whatever she wants you to do AND DON"T SASS BACK!
once you have proved to her you can do it, you have to promise that you'll take care of the dog and follow through with it.
