Well, in some terms, 18 and older is in the realm of what can be considered. But honestly, how many 18 year olds are going to be a good match for a 43 year old? And it's not just a matter of maturity, as there are some very mature 18 year olds (and some very immature 43 year olds!), but the difference in life experience and where one is at those points in life are very different. At 43, will you find conversation about current pop trends or issues of her day at school to be engrossing? Will see find the details of the office at all interesting?

In short, there may just be an 18 year old out there that is ideal for a 43 year old. But the chances are that a 19 year old would be better suited. Maybe not well suited, but still, better suited. And a 20 year old better yet... and so on.

Now, somewhere here, you're going to find a point where there is a greater likelyhood to find a match. But in the end, it's ultimately about the individuals involved, and maybe a 25 year old is a better match than a 40 year old based on the individual, even if that might fall into a catagory of "too young."

You need to find a guideline you feel comfortable with. If you find an 18 year old that is just that perfect person (and she feels the same), can you deal with what others will think? What her parents might think? The inevitable complications such a difference can bring into a relationship? If not, at what point do you feel comfortable, and just how much are you willing to move that for that person you're really really interested in?

Several factors come into play.

1. How much money does the 43 yo man have?
a. the more he has the younger the woman can be...down to 18

2. Is the guy interested in having a partner he can actually talk to, ask advice from, etc or is he just looking for eye candy to have sex with?
a. looking for partner...no younger than 30. If she's younger than that they won't have enough in common culturally.
b. looking for eye candy/sex partner...no younger than 18

If you're old enough to be her father you're probably too old for her...I'd say no more than 16 years younger than you.
