I used some good risotto rice as a baking weight in a pinch, and I would hate to throw it away. Does baking it like that ruin it or can I still cook it?

If it were any other kind of rice I would say give it a go, but risotto is especially tricky - just keep it in an airtight container until you bake again.

Probably all the texture and flavor is cooked out in the baking process.

Feed the birds with it, rather than throwing it out. It is winter, and they would appreciate the food.

Sorry to say but you must throw it away!! Get a set of pie weights and you wont have this problem again.

It might be too dried out and toasted to make good risotto.
