What did your defiance do for you in life? Were you better off with it or without it? I usually pick and choose my battles, including this kind. Some things aren't worth defying, and defiance is not always in a person's best interest.

Depends entirely on what the reason is that I can't do it. But I think you do have a problem if you defy authority, and you need to bring that into obedience to Christ. Christianity is based on submission to Lordship of Christ and His authorities over you. Read Roman 13

well I'm 12, there are many people who tell me i can't do anything, but i know that i will get better at it if i try, considering my age.... and even if i don't, well I'm not going to be upset about it, you can't be good at everything.....

if i already wanted to do it yes it does. if they're saying i'm not capable of doing it that would just piss me off, and i would have to prove them wrong.
if i didn't want to do it anyway then no. i don't let people goad me into doing things i don't want to do.
