my cat peed on our sofa, and we're trying to get rid of the smell. is there any way?

First you need to address the problem as to why your cat pee'd .. If you do not handle that issue then the pee will be an endless chore ..

CLEAN the box ...CLEAN the box every day ... Next make sure it is pee and not scent .. if it is scent get the animal fixed.. go to your local petsmart and buy a product called simple solution cat urine odor remover something-or-other. it will take care of that smell almost immediately.

for reference, all their products are the best. even their skunk bath for dogs works like a charm.
