usually at the start of any weight loss plan -- whether by diet or exercize -- there is a sharp drop in weight. This is mostly water weight, and has little to do with true weight loss. Healthy weight loss is between 1 and 2 pounds per week.

That depends on how big she is. If she is really overweight and starting on a new diet and new exercise routine than it's possible and it's okay that the pounds are coming off so quickly at first. Maybe she took dieuretics which can also take weight off quick, but it is only water weight and will come right back. Other wise, a safe weight loss is considered 1-2 pounds a week.

No, not healthy. She probably just lost fluid and she will gain weight back. No healthy diet that makes you lose 9 pounds in three days is good. She will also lose electrolytes. But, that is her choice so just let her be. Just remain her friend and be there when she needs you.

overweight heart patients are put on a special diets to help them lose weight. They can lose up to 15 pounds in 1 week. Depending on what your friend was doing to lose the weight i really couldnt tell you if it was healthy. But its nothing harmful to her to lose 9 pounds in 3 days.

It Depends on how she did it. I can show you evidence that losing it is healthy if done right.
