There is the one where you take a sheet of aluminum foil, and put a hamburger patty on it, then diced potatoes, carrots, onions, and salt and pepper the whole thing. Fold the foil up to make an enclosed pocket. If you are cooking outside you can throw it on a grill, or you can put in the oven inside.

OR my husband remembers when he was a boy scout they made what they called hobo stew. Each boy brought a can of vegetables, gravy, or whatever and everyone combined it to make stew.

they could try cooking food from different countries. Why not go to the library borrow a few books with recipes from around the world. This way they can learn what scouts from around the world eat. Something scouts cook in Australia when camping is damper. It's not a "meal" but it will fill them up.
Self raising flour
pinch of salt and enough water to make into a dough.

their are a few ways to cook it

are you able to build a fire? If so get them to go outside and find a thick stick and wrap the dough around it. Then they cook it over the fire (more the coals than the fire) turning it often. It takes 10-15 min. to cook. Then cut it open and put on butter and jam. My kids love doing this and whenever we go camping together where fires are allowed they make this.
another way is to spray some foil with cooking oil and wrap the dough in it and put it in the coals or put in the oven until you can tap it and it sounds hollow. It can take about an 40 min. this way though and not as fun.

if you are cooking over a campfire or a charcoal grill then I have an awesome idea for dessert for them. Get 1 medium sized orange for each person. cut just a little of one end of the orange off. Spoon out all of the meat of the orange, leaving the white pith intact. Prepare a cake mix (i use jiffy yellow cake mix, its cheap and easy. make sure to prepare enough to fill all the oranges). I used some of the fresh orange juice as the liquid requirement for the cake mix. Fill the oranges 2/3 to 3/4 full and replace the tops that were cut off. Carefully wrap in aluminum foil and place in the coals of the fire. Follow the guide on the cake mix box for a base time, keeping in mind that all fires are different temperature. When the cupcakes are done, unwrap the foil and let cool. Remove the tops and frost with milk chocolate icing. These are neat, fun, easy. When they are ready for dessert, all the kids have to do is "peel the orange" to have a cupcake. While I have only used this idea with campfires, I am sure that if you work with it, it could be used in an indoor oven successfully. Have fun playing with your food! P.S., the meat from the oranges could be used in a fruit salad to go with dinner!

That basically sounds ignorant & homophobic. All homosexuals at the on the spot are creeps? Who says that? Granted, definite, there would nicely be some tousled adult males who locate that user-friendly objective practice, yet considering at the same time as do you listen about extremely gay adult males touching little boys? that's continually your football coach or teens team chief. allowing gay adult males interior the Scouts, to me, is actual an excellent theory. frequently adult males are those who have a tendency to "gay-bash" & this kind little ones have a probability to develop up with a somewhat extra open options. & plus, that's unlike Scout leaders walk round speaking about they are sexual escapades, no. They communicate about tying knots & tenting.

You can let them make some quesadillas, they are fun and easy
all you need is a pkg of tortillas and some sliced american cheese, if they want to put chicken or taco meat in there they can do that too.
all you do is heat up the skillet place 1 tortilla in there, add a piece of cheese, top with another tortilla, heat until cheese is melted.
My kids just love these. You can also add salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
Good Luck!

My son likes to make biscuit pizzas. You put biscuits out on a cookie sheet, pressed flat. Then put on the sauce, cheese and toppings, cook it at 350 for 10-15 minutes, or whenever it looks done.

y'all eat breakfast for dinner ever? try breakfast pizza.
get a can of biscuits and lay them in a medium casserol dish and spread them flat like a crust. beat 6 eggs and pour over crust. sprinkle bacon, ham or sausage on top and sprinkle with shredded cheese. bake at 400 for about 20 minutes. my 6 year old makes this for me sometimes and i just help with cooking the meat and with the oven.
