no i don't think that's too pushy. if you are interested in a guy, don't be afraid to do small things for him, just spread it thin.
guys like girls that they have to chase, but one that allows herself to be caught once in awhile. sending him a non romantic message for the new year is pretty innocent.

Don't trip. You're thinking too hard. He'll peobably think that it's nice. And if he's your typical run of the mill guy, he might start to think that you're into him.
