I think with tvs, Sony is the better company than Samsung. Many people I know have Sony as do I so that is what I would recommend. You can search the internet for different reviews of both the tvs and decide from what people rated them and stuff. I hope that helps.

They're both great products, and I don't think you'd be disappointed with either of them. I'd have to go with the Samsung though. The Sony has slightly better sound quality, but the Samsung has a better picture. Add a good home cinema speaker system to the Samsung and it'll outclass the Sony.

As most people know Sony is a dam good make, but when out of warranty it will cost a packet to fix. Pop into Comet or Currys if ur in the UK and have a look at the picture quality on all the TV's I wAs very supprised at the picture quality of the Samsung, I always buy Sony etc but I will buy Samsung when my TV packs up. Its up to you both r just as good, but if u want to save a few bob, buy the samsung. Even the cheapies nowadays are pretty reliable, I am a guy who sticks to brand names and have had probs, my family and neighbours buy the cheap brands and have had them 12 years and not a single prob.

I've worked for Samsung and owned a lot of Sony kit. Go Japanese not Korean. Sony for sure.

The Sony has the better reviews in the magazines.

Also consider the newer x series from Sony. Its about £350 more expensive, but its got a better picture.
