It's pricey. If you want it WHERE EVER you go, like the other guy said, you have to get mobile broadband. It's a wireless card that plugs into the laptop. Then you connect via a cellular signal. If you want it only for home, you need to get broadband at your house, and then purchase a wireless modem. It sends out a signal to your laptop that is recieved by the laptops (most likely) built in wireless card. If you go to certain coffee shops/restaurants, they have whats called WI FI. (wireless fidelity) That's similar to your home broadband, but it's free to whomever is in range with a wireless device. (It's another way for them to being in customers.) SO, you have a few options, all very pricey (except for the free WI FI)

Home Broadband: 29.95- 49-95 a month
Extra charge for wireless modem

Cellular Broadband 80.00 for card

59.95 or more a month for data plan
(usually 79.95 for unlimited)

So there you go.

you go with for an information superhighway provider provider (ISP) and a broadband or cable connection. in case you haven't any longer have been given those already then many ISPs will furnish each thing you go with for once you sign in. in case you have have been given those then the subsequent ingredient is a instantaneous router. those connect on your telephone line and furnish the instantaneous get admission to factor that your computing device will hook up with. they'd fortunately help many computers wirelessly so which you will connect greater desirable than one in case you may. My favourites are from Netgear. once you're doing ordinary information superhighway surfing and e mail and you isn't connecting greater desirable than 2 or 3 computers then the Netgear DG834G is greater desirable than sufficient. once you're utilizing on line gaming then something slightly greater beefy like the Netgear RangeMax WNDR3300 is suited. the two comprise an uncomplicated setup CD that steps you by way of plugging them in and putting them up so as that they are working and take care of from the exterior international. the final ingredient which you particularly choose for is to verify that your computing device has instantaneous community skill. Checking to work out if there's a "WiFi" decal on that's least puzzling, then next is to look at administration Panel, gadget, device supervisor and notice if there's a instantaneous community adapter listed. If there is, then you certainly're enormously lots there. If there is no longer then a plug-in instantaneous USB device is least puzzling and the Netgear WG111GE meets the desires for uncomplicated use, and the Netgear RangeMax twin Band instantaneous-N USB Adaptor is tremendous for the bright stuff and gaming. There are Netgear equivalents in case you have have been given a Cable ISP. good luck.

Do you have a wireless card integrated or a removeable one? Also, are you near somewhere that has wireless that isn't encrypted? You need the card and a connection.
