what to do if your tattoos are ugly and bad and cannot afford tattoo removal or makeup and are really poor and a "loser???!!!"

If you have bad tats on your body and cannot afford to get make-up to cover them then honestly how did you afford the ink in the first place? Anyway, ink removal can be pretty pricey so I would suggest getting a cover-up by an artist with a really good reputation and make sure you see their portfolio before you do anything with them. Don't go to a hack job shop, either...make sure you go into a legit, clean, sterile studio.

Tattoos can be all of the above. A bad tattoo artist can ruin your life- whoops, you mean that tattoo to say "Angel" not "Angle"? Oh well. I think as a rule they're a powerful mode of self-expression and beauty. I have drawn both of mine (a phoenix on my ribs and a full shoulder piece of wings that extend down my arms) and I don't regret getting either, because they're MINE, and they're unique. I hate tattoos that are just art someone pulled off a wall. Why bother? The same goes for meaningless tattoos. Oh man, a ROSE. Just like every other ten cent skank at the local community college- be original in your skankery, at least! On men, tattoos are either very hit or very miss. I love nice greyscale work on shoulders and upper arms though! =) So just like with any other art form or means of body modding, it's all in the way that it's done and the reasons behind it.

Wear clothes to cover the tattoos up until you can afford the removal or make up. I was told from a tatoo artist, if the tats are really light you can do this: After taking a hot shower or bath, take a match, and rub its flammable side around tat. Supposedly if you keep doing this the tat will get lighter and lighter.

Lots of credible artists can cover them up or add to them to fix them. I watch "Miami Ink" and other tattoo shows all the time and I've seen people fix some incredibly bad tattoos. Its not hopeless I promise. Lots of artists fix bad tattoos for little expense, you just have to go to shops that you've heard good things about and ask how much for a fix up. Some artists won't do it if its too deep though. You'll know if its too deep if it is raised or feels "bumpy". But they still might be able to fix it.

I would see if they can be covered by a skilled tattooer, not just anyone can do a good cover-up, otherwise, your branded for life, give it a few years, they will have a better and more efficent way of tattoo removal!

Try to find someone who is good working on thier portfolio! Usually they do the fixes real cheap because they want the lip service and the practice!
