I have two digital cameras, both Kodak. I lost the USB cable for the older one, but have lots of pictures on the memory card. Can I take it out of that camera and put it into the other so I can download them to my computer? Or do I need to buy another cable?

Yeah....... I tried it a few months back while on a work placement when I took the card out of my Fuji Finepix A345 camera and stuck it in the placement's Olympus SP-500uz so I could download pics from my camera for a project I was doing (which I was more familiar with) onto their PC, since I didn't have the cable to download them straight from my camera..... so had to use their camera which used the same type of card (xD) as a very expensive memory card reader.

Yess you can swap the cards back and forth as long as both cameras use the same brand and size of memory card. Just check on that. Don't force the card into a slot it's not fitting into. If it doesn't match up you can go to a digital photo center and print them that way or even burn the images onto a cd.

Yes with two warnings. First, they obviously have to be the same size and format. Second, make sure that the new camera does not initialize or reformat the card. If it does, then you will lose all of the pictures. As long as it doesn't do this then the pictures will be fine.

Yes you can. Memory cards are all purpose, you can use them in all digital cameras. But you can always download the pics to your umputer to feel more secure about not losing them.

You should be able to transfer it as long as both cameras can use the same size card. You won't lose the pictures.
