Chew a clove of garlic or 2 .....(IT tastes like crap, but it DOES work). Got this tip from a passenger I used to haul to Drug & Alcohol counseling (former cab driver) and he always smelled like garlic and one day he told me why. They would do breathalizer on clients periodically to check and this always worked.

Ok, there are 2 different types of breath machines. The roadside (often called by a brand name like Alco-sensor) and the police station breath test (in many states it is the Intoxalyzer 5000 or the new version is the 8000)
If you blow into it, generally, it will register correctly. The best advice is to refuse to blow into the machine at all. There are factors that do throw the machine off though.
Before you can understand how the machine is off you need to know how it works. Simply put, alcohol gets into your blood. Your blood goes into your lungs. The alcohol from the blood mixes with the air in your lungs. When you blow, the machine reads the air that passes through your lungs, throat, and mouth and measures the amount of alcohol in your breath and converts it into a reading of your blood alcohol level (or BAC).
Things which throw it off include recent dental work or having a cut in your mouth. This allows the alcohol in your blood to mix with the air in your mouth. When you blow, you will register higher than you really are. While this is not a way to beat the breath test and not be arrested, it is a way to win in court.
Another way to beat it is to burp while blowing. This will cause an artificially high reading which the machine will register as an invalid sample and not a number with your BAC on it.
Realize, if you get stopped, and the cop is planning on arresting you, you will be arrested. The only question is how much evidence you want to give the cop to try to convict you with.
Also, contrary to what is written by others, it is NOT ILLEGAL TO DRIVE AFTER DRINKING. It is only illegal to drive if you have a BAC higher than .08 in most states or if you drank enough to where you are a less safe driver. The TV commercials are designed to influence the public into believeing the lie that if you drink, you will be arrested. The benefit of this is that if the public begins to believes this, then when they are serving as jurors, it will be easier for the government to convict you and get your oney as probation fees and fines.

Yes there is one way to pass a breathalyzer test. It isn't as hard to do as many people think it would be. Do not drink. It is against the law to drink and drive. This is life and if you haven't learned it by now the laws of our country are here to protect you. Have you seen the new drunk driving commercials on TV? The ones that state "driving with a buzz is drunk driving". Don't try to fool the cops, They can't catch you if you aren't driving drunk. Please the life you save could be your own. If you must drink then have someone you can call to drive you.
