Has anyone tried a product called allerpet for their cat?
My bf and i just moved in with his brother who is allergic to his cat. My bf's brother just got a product called allerpet/c that you are supposed to put on the cat to reduce her dander and decrease the allergy to the cat. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it worked...but more importantly is it safe for my cat. Im concerned because I have seen cats get very sick from over the counter products such as flea and tick repellants. I dont want my cat to get sick.

I've not heard any good comments about it - but then again I've also never tried it. If you are that concerned about allergies and cat dander, then I suggest getting out your phone book and calling around to your local vets to find a drug called ACE Promazine. It's inexpensive and you only use a drop or two of it a day and works wonders! I've been using for a while now and am highly allergic to dogs and cats, but my three cats don't affect me a bit and my allergies and asthma are actually improving so much that I do not have to use some of my medications any longer. The ACE Promazine is added to moist food and the cat never even knows it has it and helps control dander, the leading cause of allergies. So check around and see who might have it and get some feedback - but it's sold here in NW Ohio and the people that have used it longer than me swear by it over all those OTC products like Allerpet - which is far more expensive for far less results.
