If you consider 'love of money' a religion, then you would be correct.

In history, its rare that religion is the sole reason to go to war. Rather, it seems to be a convenient excuse to go into another's land, take their valuables and gain power through wealth.

War is often a clash of ideals, but religion isn't usually the basis for it.

I don't think any U.S. involvement in the 20th century started over religion. WWI was started with the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand in Yugoslavia. The U.S. became involved when the Germans attacked and sunk the Lusitania, killing several Americans aboard.

For America, WWII started when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. We declared war on Japan, and Germany declared war on us because we declared war on Japan, not due to the extermination of the Jews.

Korea and Vietnam were entered into to stop the spread of communism. Grenada happened when terrorists backed by Cuba took American hostages at a medical school. The Persian Gulf War took place when a bankrupt Iraq decided to sieze the Kuwaiti oilfields to pay debts incurred from the war with Iran.

So. . . you may need to study history a little more closely.

Because religion is a way to corrupt the mind, enslave the masses and keep the rich in piles of money. Nothing good has come of religion. They all claim to be about peace, but will kill to prove they are right. Sure, there are other reasons wars have been fought, but it is true, the majority of wars have been over religious ideals, and its not just the muslims, its the christians and the jewish as well.

Not always. Usually population pressure sets off wars. Even some of the religious ones started over population pressure. People need space, but there are usually people already using the good areas. So they take it. Sometimes religions differ between warring factions and it always makes a good rallying point. It's sometimes easier to get people to fight for god than for political reasons. Smart politicians know this and exploit it.

Religion may have been responsible for certain wars. You are stating that the war with Iraq is due to religion but you may be interested to know it was not on the part of other countries. The Muslim religion may be calling for a jihad but you will not find a single Christian responding in like manner. The holy war is existing in the Muslim mind and that is it.

I agree with you that many wars are started as a result of religion. Throughout history, people have generally viewed other people of other religions as "not one of us" or "not like me." It's much easier to exploit and kill people that you do not feel familiar with or identify with. Also, some religions make the problem worse by fostering in-group "love" and out-group disdain or hatred.

I am Baha'i which means we believe all religons are right and to just believe in God. Call him anything, they are all the same, they were just different profits at different times,
They are all basically say the same thing, so when people use the name of Allah or Buddah or Jesus, its just their own personal problem, not G-ds.
They want the land for just themselfs, not everyone like America.

Religion often forgets that it is impossible to know what happens after death. The power of God (good) allows us to create heaven here, during life.

Not true at all. Most wars have been over land and natural resources.

Assuming your question is based upon fact (which it isn't), it's primarily because there is no factual basis to prove someone wrong before going to blows. Ideology is a bi+ch.
