like a tramp or a cool girl??? i was raised not to have them now i worrie that people see them (fam friends) and hate me!!! i am a loser???

First of all you should never get a tattoo because you want to be cool. It will show how uncool you are when your trying to explain what your "tribal tattoo" means on your lower back. There's nothing more uncool. Tattoos should mark an event, feeling, time in your life, transition, or growth unless your die hard fanatic about covering a whole area with art. Then go buck wild. As a woman who has 7 two that are on my arms I can understand how you might feel but my quite religious, conservative family loves me just the same.
You know your fam and if they judge you for how you express yourself then that sucks for them. Just think carefully about what you want and why. where will depend on the tat and who does it. My friends are the Miami Ink guys and some of them are very particular about what and where they will tattoo. They won't do just anything and that's because they truly understand the permanence of what it is to have a tat forever. Good Luck.

WOW, bad attitude. Don't get tattoos to be cool or to up your self esteem. A tattoo is the same as clothing and jewelry. You have to be able to wear it with confidence, and if you think yourself a loser - I am not sure you can pull off a tattoo. Superficial things such as tattoos are just building blocks on top of a foundation. The foundation is you, and if you aren't happy with you - you won't be happy with what you build. How you were brought up is not such a concern... you are a big girl now, what do you think?

Having a tattoo should not automatically give you a label. You are what you are and a tattoo only enhances it. I have two now and wouldn't consider myself either a tramp or a cool girl. I did them for me not to gain a label.

what? i don't think that tattoos make anybody a tramp or cool. i think their actions and their personality does that. i don't really care what other people think about my tattoos as long as i love them. i was the first person in my family to get tattoos and now both of my parents have them. just enjoy your ink and don't worry about it.
also, if someone hates you now because of your tattoos then they didn't really love you in the first place anyway.

Tattoos are not all about being trampy or cool. Its the individuals choice. The tattoo could have meaning behind it. Its art. If you are worried what ppl think if you have a tattoo than maybe you shouldn't get one. Some people think its cool some don't thats their choice. But if your fine with it than who cares what somebody else thinks.

A tattoo makes you whatever you want it to make you. If your family is going to judge you, it's ok, that's what family is for. ;) jk. If your friends judge you, they aren't really good friends, huh.
It's totally a personal decision, and if you're seriously that worried about how other people will perceive you, you're probably not in the right mindset to do something so permanent. Just wait a while and give yourself a chance to understand yourself better. Then if you still want one and it will make you happy, go for it.

Ok I just have one peice of advice with regards to getting a tattoo. Do not get a tattoo of a present boyfriend because when he ends up in the past your tattoo will very much be in the future and you will look like a loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter what other people think! It's what you think that matters....if your family and friends love and care about you then they will know that getting a tattoo doesn't change who you are inside you're still the same person you were before the tatts!

they cannot make you feel bad about your work without your letting them. if you like your tats then they are part of who you are and people around you can either respect that and respect who you are or look down on you and pretend they are better. be the better person and do what YOU want, not to please them or anyone else. If you like them, theyre cool for you, dont worry so much about what everyone else thinks of them,
