WHo here has gone through with laser surgery for your vision??I have seen some pretty good results. However, is it permanent or is there side effects?? I have been told that a few years later your vision will go bad again.

Who has done it here??

I considered it several years ago. I talked to a few people who had it done. Only one had any negative results. She has "large' pupils. After the surgery she gets halos around lights at night, like when you see a light through your windshield when it's raining. That is permanent and can't be fixed. But, everyone says their vision is great now. If your eyes change as you age, you might still need to wear glasses or have another surgery.

I also talked to a friend who is an ophthalmologist (a physician who specializes in eyes). He offered to do my surgery for free but said he didn't recommend it. He said that there are sometimes unforeseen complications and, occasionally, permanent blindness. His feeling was that if glasses or contacts could give me 20/20 vision, I should stick with those and not risk being permanently blind.

I havent done it but my father has. He has no problem and its been about 6 years or more. He says he can see fine and has no problems. After he first got it done his eyes were red and always teary but that vanished and he is fine now. But always check with your doctor as they would know more and the statistics and stuff. Good luck!!
